Welcome to the FLAGSHIP-HN clinical study!

For people with recurrent/metastatic (R/M) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC)

Diagnosed with recurrent/metastatic (R/M) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC)? You’re not alone.

This website provides information about a clinical study, FLAGSHIP-HN, for people with R/M HNSCC. Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a type of cancer that arises in squamous cells (a type of cell that forms the lining of different organs in the body) within the head and neck region. If the cancer has come back (after it seemed to be absent) or if it has spread to other parts of the body, it is referred to as recurrent/metastatic (R/M) HNSCC. With very limited treatment options that are effective for R/M HNSCC, the FLAGSHIP-HN clinical study is currently underway to investigate potential treatments.

This clinical trial will use investigational products, the safety and efficacy of which have not been fully evaluated for R/M HNSCC by Regulatory Authorities.

Clinical studies are essential to investigating potential treatments and are not possible without the people who take part. Everyone involved in this clinical study plays an important role in increasing our understanding of R/M HNSCC, which may help others in the future with recurrent/metastatic HNSCC.
A R/M HNSCC diagnosis may feel overwhelming and you may feel that you have enough to do without committing to a clinical study. However, you may play a key role in helping to develop potential therapies that are being studied to help treat R/M HNSCC. Every treatment that exists today is available because of study participants who actively took part in research.
